The Daybreak Beagle Club 2007 Raffle quilt for is almost done! The center appliqué was designed and executed by LouAnn White. Two stems which will lay over the border are still to be finished. The border pattern is Square Dance. The pattern with rotary cutting template is available from MKR Designs. Once the quilt is quilted and bound I'll update the picture.

This quilt is a collaboration between LouAnn White, Danetta Burnett (the awesome quilting) and myself. It was finished July 2005 as a raffle quilt for the Nightriders 4-H. I did the appliqué of the vase and stems, LouAnn White did the appliquéd leaves and cat tails. I sewed the 6" Dance border (12" pinwheels) and applied the binding. The Dance pinwheel border pattern is available from Karen at MKR Designs. The appliquéd center is an adaptation of a design I created for the 2006 WebQuilt. The background fabric is a Nancy Crow. When we ran out partway through our project Nancy was kind enough to find the right fabric and get it to us. To her we extend our sincerest thanks.

This quilt is a collaboration between LouAnn White, Danetta Burnett (the awesome quilting) and myself. It was finished in June 2005 and was awarded to Judy Karnas in a drawing for the members of the Rainy Daze Quilt Guild. This quilt received second in the Contemporary Quilts category at the 2007 Rainy Daze Quilt Guild Quilt Show.

Shall We Dance

Finished December 2005, this full size quilt (15" pinwheels) is the property of Jane Christen. This quilt is the test of a new pattern, and will not be exhibited at quilt shows. The longarm quilting was done by Kathleen Ament, the binding was applied by LouAnn White, the photo by Danetta Burnett. My thanks to you all, the result is beautiful.

I am currently collecting material for a different version of this design, some of which I may show. This pattern is available from Karen at MKR Designs.

Midnight Blossoms

Finished June 2005, designed and constructed with contributions from . . . LouAnn White, David Christensen and Danetta Burnett.

My sincerest thanks to LouAnn for design feedback, David for help with dimensional shading, and Danetta for quilting design and longarm quilting.

This was a wonderful learning experience. The original patterns were from books by Pat Campbell and Mimi Deitrich. As I worked through the process of design, I grew more confident in my ability to produce original designs and more pleased with what I was producing.

Special thanks to my RDQG Secret Sister, Sandra Hollon, for providing fabric perfect for this project.
